Ofisi ya Rais: Israel inawajibika kwa matamshi ya kichochezi dhidi ya Rais Abbas

Ofisi ya Rais Jumatatu usiku, imesema kuwa serikali ya Israel inawajibika kikamilifu kwa maneno ya Uchochezi yaliyotolewa na Waziri mmoja wa Israel dhidi ya Rais Mahmoud Abbas na viongozi wengine wa Palestina.

Maneno hayo, yaliyotolewa na Waziri wa Usalama wa Taifa wa Israel, Itamar Ben-Gvir, yalihusisha pendekezo la kukamatwa kwa Rais Abbas iwapo Umoja wa Mataifa utaitambua Palestina kama taifa huru. Aidha, Ben-Gvir aliiomba Israel kutekeleza mauaji kwa baadhi ya maafisa wakuu wa Palestina.

Ofisi ya Rais imedai kuwa maneno ya Ben-Gvir ni wito wa wazi wa kuharibu maisha ya kiongozi wa watu wa Palestina na viongozi wengine wa ngazi ya juu.

Ofisi imeikosoa vikali na kukataa kabisa aina hii ya uchochezi hatari unaohamasisha mauaji na kuwahimiza wakoloni wa Israel kufanya vitendo vya kigaidi dhidi ya wananchi wa Palestina, ardhi yao, na maeneo yao matakatifu.

Zaidi ya hayo, Ofisi ya Rais imeitaka Marekani na jumuiya ya kimataifa kushinikiza serikali ya Israel kuacha kampeni ya uchochezi dhidi ya wananchi wa Palestina na viongozi wao. Kampeni hii, kama ilivyosemwa, itazalisha tu vurugu zaidi, kuongeza mvutano, na kudhoofisha mchakato wa amani, ambao sasa mataifa ya Kiarabu, jumuiya ya kimataifa, na Marekani wanajitahidi kuufufua pamoja.

The Presidency on Monday night held the Israeli government fully responsible for an Israeli Minister’s inciting remarks against President Mahmoud Abbas along with the Palestinian leadership.

The Presidency held the Israeli government responsible for National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s remarks in which he called for the arrest of President Abbas if the United Nations recognizes Palestinian statehood as well as for Israel to assassinate senior Palestinian officials.

The Presidency considered Ben Gvir’s remarks an explicit call to harm the life of the leader of the Palestinian people and members of the leadership.

It expressed strong condemnation and outright rejection of such dangerous incitement that encourages murder and constitutes a call for Israeli colonists to commit further terrorist acts against the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites.

It called on the US administration and the international community to pressure the Israeli government to halt its incitement campaign against the Palestinian people and their leadership, a campaign that will only breed more violence and tension and undermine the prospects of the peace process, which all Arab states and the international community, together with the US administration, are currently engaged together to revive.
