Old photos of Palestine from 1930 to 1940, Before the Brutal Occupation

Hundreds of activists shared on social media sites old photos of Palestine  in the period from 1930 to 1940, before the brutal Israeli occupation, which launched its raids and committed massacres against innocent children, women, doctors, and defenseless civilians.

The old photos depict the old appearance of the Lod Palestine Airport and the appearance of the city of Jerusalem, and pictures from inside a hospital, school classrooms, and an association, in addition to street photography, including “Jaffa” Street, and pictures from the Second Arab Exhibition, car showrooms, and others.

The writer Abdel Wahab Al-Kayyali said, in his book “The Modern History of Palestine,” that in Palestine the Arabs knew the pinnacle of challenge, and on the land of Palestine the Arab future will be decided. In Palestine, the Arabs face their greatest fateful cause. Inspiration from the past, if done in its correct form, constitutes an incentive for struggle and a factor. It is one of the factors of stability and progress. Knowing history is a basic condition for knowing oneself, and knowing oneself is an indispensable necessity for confronting and overcoming challenges .”

The book adds: “Also, the knowledge of the rebellious peoples about what is in them and the awareness of their present helps them overcome themselves and achieve victory in their historical battles, and this book in our hands provides a serious and comprehensive study of the modern history of Palestine, and it has been welcomed and received since its publication to this day.” From academic and national Arab circles, due to the author’s committed approach and conscious vision, based on primary sources and official British and Zionist documents. In order to familiarize the author with all aspects of modern Palestinian history, he divided his study into eight chapters and a set of appendices. Chapter One: A geographical and historical overview. Chapter Two, Arab Resistance. Palestine before World War I, Chapter Three: World War I, colonial conspiracies against Arab unity and the Arabism of Palestine. Chapter Four: From British possession to the Revolution of the Twentieth, Chapter Five, the stage of crystallization 1920-1923. Text Six: Viability and stagnation 1923-1929. Chapter Seven Before the Storm 1930-1935. Chapter Eight: The Great Palestinian Revolt 1936-1939. The book includes a group of special appendices under the title: Statistical Supplement, Documentary Supplement, Indexes? ".

The book chronicles the Palestinian era from the late nineteenth century until the end of the 1936 revolution. I tried to project Frantz Fanon’s theories onto the Palestinian reality and trace history from a colonial perspective. My pen knew its way under the sentences that contained the smell of coming violence against colonialism. After a sufficient period of reading, you discover the most important difference. Between the Zionists and the Arabs, the Zionists have repeatedly tried to establish colonization with international permission, but in 1905, after losing hope in international permission, they established the necessary associations for illegal colonization with a clear plan of action, while the Arabs, until 1929, did nothing but Protest and more protest, even with the change of governments and the adoption of the mandate.
