Nashukuru kwa ubinadamu usio wa kawaida muliouonyesha kwa binti yangu Emilia. Mulikuwa kama wazazi kwake, mkimkaribisha chumbani mwenu kila alipotaka. Alikuwa na hisia kwamba nyote sio tu ni marafiki, bali ni wapendwa wa kweli na wenye moyo mzuri.

Asanteni, asanteni, asanteni... Asanteni kwa saa zote mlizotumia naye. Asanteni kwa kuwa na uvumilivu naye na kumstiri kwa vitafunwa na matunda.

Watoto hawapaswi kuwepo katika maeneo ya vita, lakini kwa sababu yenu na watu wengine wema tulioonana nao njiani, binti yangu alijiona kama malkia hapa Gaza.

Nitabaki kuwa mfungwa wa shukrani kwenu kwa sababu binti yangu haondoki hapa na madhara ya kisaikolojia. Nitakumbuka wema wenu licha ya hali ngumu mlizonazo na hasara kubwa mlizopata hapa Gaza.
