Israeli Forces Arrest Over 200 Palestinians, Totaling 5,730 Since October

Ramallah - Ma'an - The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club have reported that Israeli occupation forces have arrested at least 230 citizens since the beginning of this year, bringing the total number of arrests since the seventh of last October to about 5,730.

The authority and the club stated that the occupation forces conducted a massive arrest operation from targeting at least 40 citizens from the West Bank, including former prisoners.

The statement highlighted that the arrests were mainly concentrated in the Bethlehem Governorate, with additional arrests distributed among the governorates of Ramallah, Qalqilya, Nablus, Hebron, Jenin, and Jerusalem. These arrests were accompanied by widespread raids and field investigations.

Additionally, the occupation forces persist in carrying out widespread acts of abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families. There are also reports of extensive sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes, as well as the seizure of money and vehicles.

The statement emphasized that these ongoing and escalating arrest campaigns, in an unprecedented manner, are part of a comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people, coinciding with the continuing genocide in Gaza, which has targeted all groups in an unprecedented manner.
