RUSSIA, UAE CALL FOR EMERGENCY MEETING OF UNSC FOLLOWING ISRAELI SHELLING OF HOSPITAL IN GAZA

 

MOSCOW,  Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) tonight called for convening an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) following the Israeli bombardment of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which resulted in the killing and wounding of hundreds of people.

Russian Ambassador to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyanskiy, said on Telegram that Russia and the UAE have requested the convening of an open session at the UNSC before the 18th of October due to the Israeli airstrike against a hospital in Gaza.
